In August of 2005, I started adding sounds, song clips and movie one-liners to the animated PowerPoints. I wasn't sure how the students would react but it has been very positive. All the animation made the presentations entertaining but the song clips, sounds, and movie one-liners have really helped get the students attention. Sometimes they guess what movie I got the lines from. It is amazing how much movie one-liners and the song clips can help in an economics presentation and reinforce the concepts you are trying to convey.
