Palumbo Patella Tracker

The Palumbo Patella Tracker utilizes a new patella bracing mechanism wherein the lateral bracing pad is allowed to float so as to maintain the most effective position with respect to the patella during flexion of the knee.  The Tracker is available in 1/8" neoprene in blue, or 3/16" neoprene with blue lycra. • The lateral pad control insert is constructed of visco-elastic material to better conform and adjust to the floating action of the brace.

• The new laterally positioned elastic insert in the patella strap between the anchor and pad allows for the "floating" action which repositions the pad according to the full physiologic range of motion to the knee.

• The new Tracker also improves tension control to accomodate a wider range of patient requirements.

Application of the Palumbo Patella Stabilizing Braces

1. Pull Sleeve on leg and align patella (knee cap) in center of cutout.   Brace can be worn on either knee.

2. Apply pad-strap unit on velcro tab on sleeve.  Position pad to the outside edge of the knee cap on lateral side of the knee.

3. Wrap upper strap around thigh, with moderate tension.

4. Wrap lower strap around upper calf, with moderate tension.

5. Wrap counter arm around thigh with slight tension; attach velcro on upper portion of the strap.  Cut off excess as required.
