McDavid Shoulder Brace Description

 

The McDavid Shoulder Brace is an adjustable shoulder support ideal for symptomatic relief of sprains, strains, bursitis and tendonitis. The McDavid Shoulder Brace features pockets over the AC joint for an ice pack, a hot or cold pack, or extra padding. When used with a hot or cold pack, it compresses and supports soft tissue while adding therapeutic heat or cold. Adjustable thermal neoprene support features Velcro closures to hold it firmly in place. 3/16" thick neoprene provides therapeutic heat retention and compression .Two sided nylon construction for durability. Application Instructions

Drape the shoulder portion (with the pocket) over the shoulder to be protected. A. Attach the 3 hook and loop closures as follows:
1. Under the affected shoulder to the chest.
2. Around the arm.
3. Under the opposite shoulder to chest. Make sure all closures are snug and adjust necessary.
For Partial Immobilization
Apply one end of the strap as shown in picture (B). For more immobilization lower the strap on the arm and tighten the arm to the chest. Check for desired result and adust if necessary.
For Anterior Instabilities
Attach one end of the strap over the front of the arm, twist the strap, attach across the back and the opposite side of the support. Check for desired result and adjust if necessary.
For Posterior Instabilites
Attach the strap at the arm going from the front, under and over the top of the shoulder as show in picture (D). End with the strap attached tot he front of the vest. Check and adjust as necessary.
For Rotator Deceleration

Attach the strap at the arm going from the back, under and over the top of the shoulder to the back of the vest as shown in picture (E). Check for the desired result and adjust as necessary.
